Con expectación se ha seguido el desarrollo de Stranglehold. Tanto por ser la primera incursión de John Woo en el mundillo de los videojuegos asumiendo las labores de dirección; como por ser la promesa, muy a su pesar, de llenar ese huequito en nuestros corazones que nos han dejado las dos primeras entregas de Max Payne.
Tequila – The Killer
La historia de Stranglehold nos transporta literalmente a la segunda entrega de la película Hard Boiled, dirigida por el propio John Woo y protagonizada también por Chow Yun-Fat como el agente Tequila.
El juego se ambienta unos años después del filme, y nos presenta de nuevo al inspector oriental en Hong Kong en una interesante trama que incluye el secuestro de su ex novia, el asesinato de un policía y el tráfico de narcóticos y de armamento. El argumento llevará a Tequila de un lugar a otro incluyendo Hong Kong e incluso Chicago.
En lo jugable el juego bebe directamente y sin sonrojo de Max Payne. No sólo está presente el Bullet Time, aquí Tequila Time, que Remedy realizó con brillantez en las dos entregas del duro policía norteamericano, si no que también podemos lanzarnos al aire para disparar como el propio Payne y simultanearlo, o no, con el Tequila Time.
